type1.science brings together the treatments, everyday tools and research that matter to the type 1 diabetes community. The aim is to make the evidence easier to find, compare and question.
Current options and future possibilities
The index includes approved products, clinical research, early development and clearly marked concepts. An unreleased product can be worth following, but a plan, animal result or early study does not establish effectiveness in everyday use.
We aim for broad coverage, including negative results and discontinued programs. The index is curated and may have gaps. A missing product or study is something to investigate; inclusion is not an endorsement.
Evidence you can inspect
Source links, study details and review dates sit alongside the content. Scores are editorial judgments under published criteria, not a probability of success or a recommendation for your treatment. Approval, commercial availability and funding are separate questions.
Content is AI-assisted and independent clinical review remains pending. The changelog identifies the models used and material changes. The methodology explains scoring and sourcing; dated review notes show the actual scope and limits of the latest pass.
Keeping the index current
The monthly review process covers existing claims and searches for missing developments. It calls for primary sources, explicit decisions about new candidates, safety and discontinuation checks, and an independent second pass. A working link or a recent date does not count as verification of every claim.
When information cannot be confirmed, the relevant limitation should remain visible. Historical release notes describe earlier editorial work; use the current record and its sources for the latest account.
