DETECT T1D GULF family screening in Saudi Arabia and the UAE

Recruiting Sanofi-sponsored study screening up to 3,500 children and adolescents who have a first-degree relative with T1D at sites in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with confirmation three months after the first screen. This is targeted family screening, not general-population screening.

Primary endpoints

  • Proportion meeting stage-1 or stage-2 T1D criteria at screening and confirmation

No results posted. Recruitment began on 17 December 2025 at one Saudi and one UAE site; estimated enrollment is 3,500 and completion is 25 December 2026.
