Dimethyl fumarate for preserving beta-cell function in new-onset T1D

Nanjing Medical University randomized phase 3 study testing whether dimethyl fumarate capsules preserve C-peptide in adults with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes compared with placebo.

Primary endpoints

  • Baseline-adjusted geometric mean C-peptide AUC during a 2-hour mixed-meal tolerance test 24 weeks after intervention
