Type 1 diabetes screening in pediatric primary care

Northwestern observational implementation study integrating islet-autoantibody screening into routine pediatric well-child visits. Clinics receive education, ordering reminders, and implementation facilitation; clinical screening still occurs at clinician discretion, while the study measures adoption and parent and clinician experience.

  • Parent and clinician acceptability, feasibility, and appropriateness over 15 months

Results so far

No results posted. A 20 July 2026 amendment increased estimated enrollment from 3,500 to 9,500 and set estimated start to 20 July 2026, but the registry still listed NOT_YET_RECRUITING on 8 August. Primary and study completion are estimated for 19 October 2027.
