Precision ATG with or without verapamil in new-onset T1D

A University of Florida phase 2 trial testing low-dose ATG against placebo in newly diagnosed T1D, stratifying participants by an ex vivo immune-responder signature so that predicted responders and non-responders are balanced across the arms, with a second-year re-randomisation to open-label verapamil. About 60 participants aged 6-35 at two US sites.

Primary endpoints

  • AUC C-peptide between ATG and placebo values
  • Change in 2-hr MMTT AUC C-peptide
