PredicT1D: CGM to predict dysglycemia in autoantibody-positive people
Recruiting Belgian study using repeated Dexcom CGM, oral glucose-tolerance tests, and (in older participants) hyperglycemic clamps to see whether glucose-variability patterns can predict dysglycemia and stage 3 T1D in people aged 5–39 who already have islet autoantibodies. It is staging science, not a treatment trial.
Primary endpoints
- Progression to persistent dysglycemia in initially normoglycemic autoantibody-positive people
- Progression to persistent dysglycemia and stage 3 T1D in multiple autoantibody-positive people

The full picture
PredicT1D asks whether CGM can see stage progression coming as well as OGTT or clamp testing can. A better screening tool would matter; it is not a delay therapy, and there are no results yet.
