MicroTech AiDEX

MicroTech Medical

What it is

An established CGM family using a separate transmitter and sensor. Current manufacturer specifications describe a one-hour warm-up and optional calibration; model-specific wear life, age labels and local access need confirmation.

Editorial review: . What was checked and what remains uncertain.

Source dates appear in the references where available; this record has no dated citation metadata.

Trial status, labels and access can change between reviews.

Evidence behind this assessment

Key evidence notes. Study results, product eligibility and access answer different questions.

Who was studied?
Study populations and analysis groups vary. Product age limits alone do not describe who was studied.
Benefit or performance
Accuracy: Model-specific accuracy not verified; conservative editorial score.[1]
Important harms and treatment burden
Read the safety discussion and original sources. A missing summary does not establish safety.
Approval and country access
Country-specific approval and access are not summarized in this record.Approval, trial recruitment, local supply and funding are separate. Check the cited label or access source.
Follow-up and remaining uncertainty
Read the record-specific review limits for gaps in evidence, source access or availability checks.

This record cites company or conference reports. Those sources may describe interim findings; their source type is shown in the source list.

Editorial score: calculation and evidence

A weighted editorial judgment on a 0–100 scale, not a probability of success or a measured treatment effect. Higher criterion scores mean more favorable assessments.

Default calculation: 40 × 20 + 40 × 15 + 12 × 15 + 45 × 10 + 80 × 10 + 55 × 10 + 65 × 10 + 0 × 5 + 35 × 5 = 4205; divide by total weight 100. Unrounded weighted result: 42.05.

Accuracy40

Model-specific accuracy not verified; conservative editorial score.[1]

Low lag40

Physiological lag not established.[1]

Interoperability12

Commercial AID integration not established.[1]

Sensor lifespan45

Wear duration varies by model; uncertainty reflected in editorial score.[1]

No calibration80

Optional calibration listed; local instructions govern.[1]

Alerts & prediction55

App-based monitoring; alert effectiveness unverified.[1]

Form factor65

Separate transmitter/sensor adds handling; listed weight≤5.5 g.[1]

Ketone sensing0

Glucose only.[1]

Access & cost35

Historical commercial markets documented; present country-specific supply unconfirmed.[2]

Editor’s take

Scores are editorial judgments about the evidence and practical features, not measured comparative performance or a probability of success.

The full picture

AiDEX uses a separate transmitter, sensor and smartphone app. The current product page lists a one-hour warm-up, optional calibration, maximum combined weight 5.5 g and dimensions 36×22×8 mm.1

The annual report confirms commercial sales of AiDEX and Equil across international markets. That historical commercialization plus current product support is not a check of stock or funding in every country.2

Do not substitute LinX specifications or assume the separately reported AiDEX G9 successor is identical. No numerical MARD, fixed wear duration or AID outcome is claimed here because those exact model-specific details were not substantiated in this pass.
