MicroTech LinX
MicroTech Medical
What it is
A small standalone CGM with 15-day wear. The current EU manual covers diabetes from age 2, with age-specific insertion sites. Manufacturer accuracy claims are not treated as head-to-head evidence.
Editorial review: . What was checked and what remains uncertain.
Source dates appear in the references where available; this record has no dated citation metadata.
Trial status, labels and access can change between reviews.
Evidence behind this assessment
Key evidence notes. Study results, product eligibility and access answer different questions.
- Who was studied?
- Study populations and analysis groups vary. Product age limits alone do not describe who was studied.
- Benefit or performance
- Accuracy: Manufacturer 8.66% MARD claim; comparative accuracy unverified.[3]
- Important harms and treatment burden
- Read the safety discussion and original sources. A missing summary does not establish safety.
- Approval and country access
- Country-specific approval and access are not summarized in this record.Approval, trial recruitment, local supply and funding are separate. Check the cited label or access source.
- Follow-up and remaining uncertainty
- Read the record-specific review limits for gaps in evidence, source access or availability checks.
This record cites company or conference reports. Those sources may describe interim findings; their source type is shown in the source list.
Editorial score: calculation and evidence
A weighted editorial judgment on a 0–100 scale, not a probability of success or a measured treatment effect. Higher criterion scores mean more favorable assessments.
Default calculation: 50 × 20 + 45 × 15 + 12 × 15 + 88 × 10 + 88 × 10 + 60 × 10 + 88 × 10 + 0 × 5 + 50 × 5 = 5345; divide by total weight 100. Unrounded weighted result: 53.45.
Editor’s take
Scores are editorial judgments about the evidence and practical features, not measured comparative performance or a probability of success.
The full picture
LinX is a separate MicroTech platform from AiDEX. The product page lists 15-day wear, a one-hour warm-up, optional calibration and a 22 mm diameter sensor weighing 2.16 g. MicroTech reports one-minute updates.12
The March 2026 EU manual indicates use from age 2, using abdomen placement for ages 2–17 and the back of the upper arm in adults. It allows treatment decisions with specified exceptions requiring a blood-glucose check. Regional instructions take precedence.3
MicroTech advertises 8.66% MARD, but no comparative T1D accuracy trial was validated in this discovery pass. Its June release describes the company’s closed-loop system as developing; ownership of both pump and CGM does not establish a commercially available AID pairing.2
