Evidence behind this assessment

Key evidence notes. Study results, product eligibility and access answer different questions.

Who was studied?
Study populations and analysis groups vary. Product age limits alone do not describe who was studied.
Benefit or performance
Accuracy: Manufacturer MARD claim; independent model-specific accuracy not verified.[1]
Important harms and treatment burden
Read the safety discussion and original sources. A missing summary does not establish safety.
Approval and country access
Country-specific approval and access are not summarized in this record.Approval, trial recruitment, local supply and funding are separate. Check the cited label or access source.
Follow-up and remaining uncertainty
Read the record-specific review limits for gaps in evidence, source access or availability checks.

This record cites company or conference reports. Those sources may describe interim findings; their source type is shown in the source list.

Editorial score: calculation and evidence

A weighted editorial judgment on a 0–100 scale, not a probability of success or a measured treatment effect. Higher criterion scores mean more favorable assessments.

Default calculation: 45 × 20 + 45 × 15 + 12 × 15 + 88 × 10 + 80 × 10 + 60 × 10 + 90 × 10 + 0 × 5 + 35 × 5 = 5110; divide by total weight 100. Unrounded weighted result: 51.1.

Accuracy45

Manufacturer MARD claim; independent model-specific accuracy not verified.[1]

Low lag45

Three-minute updates are not measured lag.[1]

Interoperability12

No commercial AID pairing established.[1]

Sensor lifespan88

Manufacturer specifies 15 days.[1]

No calibration80

Platform claims do not remove the need to follow exact variant instructions.[1]

Alerts & prediction60

App/reader and alerts described; alarm outcomes not validated here.[1]

Form factor90

Approximately 2 g and 3.95 mm thickness per manufacturer.[1]

Ketone sensing0

Glucose only.[1]

Access & cost35

China launch documented; explicit UK/many-EU sales exclusion.[2]

Editor’s take

Scores are editorial judgments about the evidence and practical features, not measured comparative performance or a probability of success.

The full picture

Sinocare’s Chinese product history dates the i6 family’s commercialization to 2025. The international i6 page specifies 15-day wear, three-minute readings and approximately 2 g hardware. It lists age 2+, with age-dependent insertion sites.12

The page explicitly says products shown are not sold in the UK and a long list of EU countries. A UK-subdomain product page therefore does not establish UK availability. Current local registration and reimbursement outside China remain unverified.2

The advertised adult MARD is a manufacturer claim. The i3 pediatric paper is not assumed to validate every i6 hardware variant. No commercial AID compatibility is established by the sources checked.
